Student Walk-a-Thon to Benefit Area Needy

Elementary school students will take part Saturday in the Peanut Butter Jam Walk-a-Thon at Lake Santa Margarita.
Children walking the mile-long course should bring at least one jar of peanut butter as an entry fee. They may also collect pledges of $2 to buy jars of peanut butter. The food will be donated to the Saddleback Valley Food Bank, which provides groceries to families in the community each month.
Walkers may register at the starting point, Sarducci’s Lakeside Restaurant, 31441 Rancho Santa Margarita Parkway. Information: (714) 859-6459.
