Policky Helps Arcadia Pick on Glendale, 24-0

GLENDALE — Andrew Policky rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown in 24 carries for Arcadia High in a 24-0 Pacific League victory over Glendale on Thursday night.
On Arcadia’s first possession, Policky picked up a fumble by quarterback Jordan Eller at the Glendale one-yard line and bulled into the end zone. The score capped a seven-play, 76-yard drive.
After a one-yard touchdown run by Gus Alfaro put Arcadia (4-4, 2-1 in league) ahead, 14-0, Glendale put together its best scoring opportunity of the game.
The Dynamiters (1-7, 0-3) drove 70 yards in 13 plays but were denied when Jared Callister was turned away on consecutive runs from the one-yard line.
Glendale’s Jeremy Callister completed 18 of 25 passes for 189 yards, but also had two passes intercepted by Michael Park.
The Dynamiters’ Steve Haas had seven receptions for 39 yards. Anthony Bykowski added four catches for 57 yards.
Arcadia limited Glendale to 10 first downs and 58 yards rushing. Max Maxwell had 36 yards in 11 carries and caught two passes for 37 yards.
The Apaches piled up 229 yards on the ground.
Blair Lewis capped a four-play, 48-yard drive with a 21-yard touchdown run with 8:16 left and Andy McEntee added the extra point to put Arcadia ahead, 21-0.
Lewis had 41 yards in four carries.
McEntee added a 32-yard field goal when the Apaches stalled at the 14-yard line.
