Paraclete 30, Bishop 27--Dominic Washington rushed for 231 yards in 44 carries, including touchdown runs of five and six yards as Paraclete (4-3, 2-0) pulled off an upset over the top-ranked team in Division XI.
Bishop fell to 5-2, 1-1 after an interception by Tommy Breech at the Paraclete 40 with no time remaining stopped a last-ditch comeback.
Paraclete trailed 14-7 in the second quarter before a 12-yard pass from Sean Fraser to Josh Foster and a 20-yard scoring pass to Josh White put the Spirits up, 21-14, just before the half.
Paraclete extended the lead in the third quarter with Washington’s second touchdown run and a 21-yard field goal by Matt Horner to lead 30-14 after three quarters.
