McCullough’s Frustration Mounts

With the recent past weighing heavily on his mind, Abdul McCullough is starting to worry about his future.
McCullough, UCLA’s strong safety and a senior, has NFL aspirations, “but they look hard at a team’s record, and I’m seeing my shot at the NFL just slipping away.”
On Saturday at Seattle, he played with his right hand heavily taped because of a broken bone in his wrist and still made five tackles in a 41-21 loss to Washington.
“It makes me glad I’m going to get my degree,” he said.

UCLA came through the game at Washington largely unscathed, with a concussion suffered by Paul Guidry in the game’s first series the only injury.
