Chaminade 36, Bishop Montgomery 22--Chaminade put away a victory in its league opener when Ray Rodriguez connected with Justin Stewart on a 45-yard touchdown pass with 38 seconds remaining.
Chaminade (3-2-1) had watched Bishop Montgomery (2-4) rally from a 29-8 deficit to pull within 29-22 before Rodriguez’s touchdown pass, which was his first completion in six passes in the game.
Steve Hoo ran for 106 yards and three touchdowns in 24 carries for Chaminade. Matthew Markis rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown and blocked a punt.
