O’Neal, Bryant Make Forum Hot Spot Tonight

It’s not only an exhibition game. That much is obvious, considering that about 14,000 tickets had been sold as of Thursday afternoon for tonight’s Laker-Philadelphia 76er meeting at 8 p.m. at the Forum.
It’s more like an event, what with Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant in their first home game as Lakers.
Last season, the two nights of the Forum Shootout drew 8,089 and 10,231.
The four-team tournament begins at 5 p.m., when the Washington Bullets, with Juwan Howard scheduled to make his first appearance of the exhibition season after battling shin splints, play the Phoenix Suns.
Saturday, the winners and losers meet, also at 5 and 8. The Lakers will play the late game Saturday, no matter the outcome tonight.
