Grammar Workshop Offered for Adults
Pierce College Office of Community Services is offering a workshop for adults who get tongue-tied over grammar.
The class, Good Grammar for Grown-Ups, focuses on the basics of grammar in writing and conversation.
Instructor William Holmes has taught in high schools, college and universities for more than 25 years.
Many times, people who lack a strong verbal foundation are less able to communicate effectively, Holmes said.
“Even if they do have a foundation in words, they don’t put it all together with the structure they need,†he said.
The Good Grammar for Grown-Ups workshop is scheduled from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. each Wednesday beginning this week at the Woodland Hills college, and is offered through Pierce’s Extension office.
