Aside from its 35-30 victory over Irvine last Friday, Mater Dei has lived up to its preseason No. 1 ranking, outscoring opponents, 175-30. Nick Stremick has passed for nine touchdowns, and James Farley has rushed for 400 yards and seven touchdowns. Servite, which has defeated such noted teams as Esperanza, Santa Margarita and Fountain Valley, is led by quarterback Greg Cicero. Cicero has passed for 798 yards and eight touchdowns with only two interceptions.
