A Trip Downtown

My sincerest thanks for Kevin Roderick’s outline of visiting downtown Los Angeles with children (“What’s Up Downtown,” June 2).
My husband and I recently celebrated a quarterly “Grandma & Grandpa Day” with our 9-year-old and 7-year-old granddaughters, following Mr. Roderick’s plan.
I only wish I had a better walking map detailing where every point of interest was, e.g., the Bonaventure, which we didn’t get to . . . perhaps more because Grandma pooped out after those hills and steps.
The library had children doing Mexican folk dances, the Angels Flight was great fun and the Grand Central Market will be a topic of conversation because of the moving lobsters and crabs.
