Harvard-Westlake opens action today in the Southern California Invitational water polo tournament at Heritage Park Aquatic Complex in Irvine. The 16-team field includes: Foothill, defending Southern Section Division I champion; Coronado, the San Diego Section champion; Bellarmine, Central Coast Section champion; Miramonte, North Coast Section Division I champion; and Davis, Sac-Joaquin Section runner-up.
Harvard-Westlake opens play against Sac-Joaquin Section semifinalist Tokay at 10:10 a.m.
Other high school events in the region today include:
Water polo: At 3:30 p.m., Burroughs vs. Crespi at Pierce College.
Girls’ tennis: At 3 p.m., Burroughs at Calabasas.
Girls’ volleyball: At 3:30 p.m., Hoover at Glendale. At 5:15 p.m., Providence at Holy Martyrs. At 6 p.m., Cate at Oak Park.
College events in the region today include:
Women’s volleyball: At 7 p.m., Gonzaga at Pepperdine, Pierce at Ventura.
