Health Administrator Named to Aging Panel
Los Angeles County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky has appointed an Encino resident to the county’s Commission on Aging.
Elaine C. Pang, a health administrator at the UCLA School of Medicine, has a master’s degree in public health from Cal State Northridge.
The 45-member County Commission on Aging helps develop services for seniors, advises the Board of Supervisors and various county departments on issues of concern and provides an education program aimed at promoting self-sufficiency among the elderly.
“As someone with extensive medical research and community experience in gerontology issues, she’ll be a great asset to the panel,†Yaroslavsky said in a statement.
