Tantee’s Upset Leads Dana Hills Past Irvine

Summer Tantee upset two-time Sea View League champion Sarah Denson, 6-4, to lead sixth-ranked Dana Hills to a 16-2 victory over No. 10 Irvine in nonleague girls’ tennis. Tantee won her other two sets, 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles, Kate Romm and Brook Calton swept 6-3, 7-6, 6-2 for Dana Hills (4-2). Irvine is 5-2.
In other nonleague tennis:
Brea Olinda 12, Chino Hills Ayala 6--Jill Curtis and Annie James swept, 6-3, 6-1, 6-0, for Brea.
Laguna Hills 13, San Clemente 5--Jessica Prause won, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for Laguna Hills (4-3).
Rosary 13, Connelly 5--Cheryl Hamilton swept in singles for No. 9 Rosary (5-1), 6-0, 6-1, 6-0. Lauren Eyrich and Devon Eyrich swept in doubles, 6-1, 6-0, 6-2.
In nonleague water polo:
Villa Park 15, Sunny Hills 4--Kyle Baumgarner scored seven goals for fifth-ranked Villa Park.
Laguna Beach 22, Edison 4--Grant McGann scored seven goals for host Laguna Beach (6-3).
Garden Grove 15, Orange 10--Jeff Colton scored six of his 10 goals in the first half as visiting Garden Grove built an 8-2 lead.
