Blackhawks Lose Daze for a Month
Associated Press
Chicago Blackhawk forward Eric Daze, who led all NHL rookies with 30 goals last season, is expected to sit out at least a month because of a sprained ankle, a team spokesman said.
The 21-year-old forward lost his footing along the boards in an exhibition game at St. Louis on Saturday night and hurt his left ankle.
At the time of his injury, Daze was Chicago’s leading scorer in exhibitions with three goals and four points.
