Officers’ Fumbles Have Tragic Result

The latest officer-involved shooting death on Sept. 7 of the innocent 77-year-old Ted Franks in his underwear just outside his bedroom is yet another tragic loss for the city of Huntington Beach.
It appears odd that the officers failed to announce their presence at any point during the incident, according to news reports. If they had, one would be led to believe this “Keystone Cop” incident might have been prevented. But sadly, we will never know for certain. The investigation will undoubtedly conclude once again in exculpatory favor of the officers. Very sad times we live in.
