Information Sought on Home Burglary

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for a home burglary in late August in Newbury Park.
East county sheriff’s deputies say the burglary took place in the 200 block of Eagleview Place during the last week of August. An unidentified burglar smashed a bedroom window to get in and stole a Sony VCR and a Sony portable stereo.
While inside the residence, the burglar or burglars ate several meals--a sign that they knew when the victims would return home, authorities said. Anyone with information is asked to call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 494-TALK. Callers may remain anonymous.
