Ducks Should Direct Profits Toward Winning

Hi Ho, Hi Ho . . . it’s time to let the cash flow.
Let’s see: the Ducks sell out every game, lead the league in merchandise sales, Disneyland costs $34 per person and “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” is on its way to $300 million. What’s the problem? EuroDisney can’t be doing that bad. The time is now for Disney to spend the bucks and get some quality free agents.

The Mighty Ducks’ off-season moves have been reactive more than pro-active. Roster moves were made more in response to what was happening elsewhere, not what the Ducks needed to put them into the playoffs. While most of the teams who finished beneath the Ducks last year have actively worked to improve themselves in the off-season, the Ducks appear to be content with what they have.
