Gunmen opened fire on Haiti’s television station and journalists received death threats, making the media the latest target in a week of rising political violence. No one was injured in the TV station shooting, which followed the assassination of two prominent right-wing politicians Tuesday and similar shooting attacks Monday on the national police headquarters and the legislative building. The attacks seem linked to the weekend arrest of 20 ex-soldiers accused of plotting to attack the presidential palace.
