SHOWS FOR YOUNGSTERS AND THEIR PARENTS TOO : ‘Imaginaria’ music video come to KCET; learning from the animals; the little boys of summer

Dancing pencils, leaping trains and smiling airplanes occupy Imaginaria, a computer-animated music video (Sunday, KCET at 7:30 a.m.). The program, filled with bright colors and fast-moving characters, aims to spark an interest in computer animation among children. For ages 5 and up.

Animal Tales premieres over a two-week period (KCET, Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m.) with real animals in funny, adventurous episodes that entertain and educate. As an example on why children should listen to their parents, two playful polar bears in “The Lost Cubs” end up nearly drowning in the sea. In “The Cat Who Wanted to Be a Dog,” a lynx (who learned to bark from a dog friend) discovers that its OK to be yourself when her barking scares off a pack of unfriendly wolves. For ages 3 and up.

Junior Coyote wants to be something other than a coyote. His pappy and grandpappy use cartoons in Disney’s Coyote Tales (Disney Channel, Monday at 1 p.m.) to persuade him to be proud of who he is. For ages 3 and up.

In Stanley’s Dragon (Disney Channel, Thursday at 2:30 p.m.), Stanley Katz, an American student studying in Great Britain, discovers a very strange egg while exploring a cave. For the family.

ABC’s Wide World of Sports presents the Little League World Series (Saturday at 12:30 p.m.) from Willamsport, Pa. The series is hosted by Terry Gannon; recently retired baseball star Kirby Puckett provides analysis. Following an elimination series, an American team will face a team from either Latin America, the Far East, Canada or Europe. Last year, Taiwan beat the boys from Spring, Tex. For the family.
