Bus Passenger Shoots Man, Woman in Watts
A man and woman were shot Thursday while riding a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus in Watts, authorities said.
The 30-year-old man was shot in the thigh and was taken to St. Francis Medical Center and listed in stable condition, police said. The woman, believed to be in her 30s, suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was listed in fair condition to Martin Luther King Jr./Drew Medical Center, authorities said.
The bus was eastbound on East 103rd Street when the shooting occurred about 5:45 p.m. a couple of blocks before the bus stopped at South Central Avenue. The gunman reportedly got off the bus and ran away.
