Masked Robbers Hit Simi Credit Union
SIMI VALLEY — Police are searching for two bandits who used nylon stockings to cover their faces during a robbery of the Premier American Federal Credit Union in Simi Valley on Wednesday afternoon.
The heist at the institution located at 400 Country Wide Way was the 34th bank robbery in Ventura County this year.
Police said two men entered the credit union at about 4:55 p.m. and approached a teller. One of them brandished a handgun while the other man put a backpack on the counter and demanded money, police said.
Police said the teller handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the two men fled after stuffing the money into the backpack.
The robbers, who police described as white males in their early 20s, escaped in a car, police said.
