A forest of tall shade trees, a bubbling brook with moss-covered banks and 140 kinds of ferns are tucked beside Fern Dell Drive, north of Los Feliz Boulevard, in a 4.5-acre fern-lined glen. It is the largest public fern garden in the state. Around sunrise and sunset, Griffith Park’s deer often descend from the hills for a drink.
