2 Workshops Offer County Budget Details
Two upcoming workshops will give county residents an opportunity to learn more about how their tax dollars are spent.
The first session, “Budget Basics,†will present an overview of the county’s budget for the 1996-97 fiscal year.
The workshop will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. next Tuesday at the Orange County Public Library Administration building, 1501 E. St. Andrew Place, Santa Ana.
The second session, “The Budget: Beyond Basics,†will include presentations from finance officers from the Health Care, Community Services and Social Services agencies, the Sheriff’s Department, the Probation Department and the district attorney’s office.
That session will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Aug. 7 at Century High School, 1401 S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana.
Residents will be able to meet in small groups with individual department officials to ask questions.
