Lorne Michaels Sells Family-Entertainment Library: The “Saturday Night Live†creator made the deal for $91 million with Golden Books Family Entertainment, an affiliate of the publisher of Golden Books for children. The library boasts more than 3,000 TV shows, movies and copyrights to well-known characters such as “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer†and “Frosty the Snowman.†Michaels will continue to own Broadway Video Entertainment, a production, post-production, editing and interactive company run by Chief Executive John Engleman. Golden Books’ purchase of Broadway Video’s library will be worth $81 million in cash and $10 million in stock.
