LAKELAND, Fla. — Michael Yakubic, a chemical engineer who invented Saran Wrap, has been found dead in a creek after being missing for a week, police said Friday.
Yakubic’s body was found when police sent bloodhounds out Thursday to search for the owner of a car abandoned near the Avon Park bomb range, a federal installation in Lakeland, a sheriff’s spokesman said. He said Yakubic, who was in his 80s, had “some kind of memory impairment†and apparently died of natural causes.
