‘Basquiat’ Screening to Benefit Museum
The Santa Monica Museum of Art will hold a benefit screening of “Basquiat,†directed by artist Julian Schnabel, Aug. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
The film traces the life of artist Jean Michel Basquiat, one of the first African American artists to succeed in America’s commercial art world.
