Karen Kraft and Missy Schwen of the United States defeated the defending world champion Australians Megan Still and Kate Slatter in the women’s pair semifinals and will have a rematch in the final on Saturday.
American Ruth Davidon advanced in women’s single sculls.
U.S. men’s pair Michael Peterson and Adam Holland finished fourth and did not advance.
