Firms Lauded for Part in Economic Program

Fifteen companies were honored by the City Council this week for participation in Powerful Partnership for Business, an economic development program credited with attracting or retaining more than 5,000 jobs in the community.
City spokesman Bret Colson said the program offers a range of options, from job training incentives to utility rate breaks.
The businesses are SPM, Sundor Brands Inc., MTI Technology Corp., Anaheim Foundry Co., Universal Alloy Corp., YKK (USA) Inc., Disc Manufacturing Inc., Fry’s Electronics Inc., LA Cellular, Anaheim Plaza, Ogden Entertainment Services, Disney Ice, Disney Sports Enterprises, TRW REDI Property Data and West Coast Performance Products (USA) Inc.
