Hycor Biomedical Inc.: The Irvine medical diagnostic products company reported second-quarter net income of $78,000, or 1 cent a share, down from $572,000, or 7 cents a share, for the 1995 period. Revenue declined 24% to $5.2 million from $6.8 million. Net income for the first half was $146,000, or 2 cents a share, down from the $1.1 million, or 14 cents a share, posted for the first six months of 1995. Revenue dropped 21% to $10.5 million from $13.3 million.
The company said the results are consistent with its restructuring plan announced in the second half of 1995, which included divesting a third of the company’s product lines while focusing on expansion in the clinical immunology/allergy area.
