‘Hit and Run’ Facts Are Questioned

Re: “Hit and Run” by Kim Master and Nancy Griffin: While Peter Guber’s drive and enthusiasm were instrumental in getting the film version of “Midnight Express” made, he didn’t “commission the writing of the book.” (I’d almost finished a first draft before he even got involved. And he certainly didn’t “option the story for $10,000,” as stated. These inaccuracies make me question the rest of what is purported to be a scrupulously researched book.
