Two Los Angeles women were hospitalized Saturday morning after their car rolled down a 20-foot embankment on California 126 west of Piru, authorities said.
Mary Musgraves, 58, and Lavena Wilson, 48, received major injuries in the crash, said a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman. The women were in stable condition at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The driver apparently lost control of her vehicle as she drove east on California 126 near Hopper Canyon Road about 7:15 a.m., the CHP spokeswoman said.
The spokeswoman didn’t know which of the women, the car’s only occupants, was driving.
