Mike Granger’s three-run home run with two out in the seventh inning gave Santa Clarita South a 6-4 victory over rival Newhall Saugus in a District 20 game Friday at Canyon High.
Santa Clarita South (9-1) entered the seventh trailing, 2-1, against Chris Baker, who allowed five hits in six innings.
Newhall Saugus (12-3) scored twice in the bottom of the seventh against Bobby Graves, Baker’s former teammate at Hart High.
Graves (4-0) pitched a five-hitter, striking out 14 .
Woodland Hills West 6, Las Virgenes West 2--Aaron Sabo’s double ignited a four-run second inning and Mike Conn hit a home run in the third for Woodland Hills West (8-3) in a District 20 game at El Camino Real High.
P.J. Reyes pitched three shutout innings in relief.
