Opportunities for Volunteering

Burbank’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Program needs volunteers who are at least 55 for the following jobs:

The Burbank office of the American Red Cross, 1001 W. Magnolia Blvd., Burbank, needs volunteer receptionists to answer the phones, give information on health and safety classes and perform light typing and general office duties.

The Autry Museum of Western Heritage in Griffith Park needs volunteers to work in its museum store, membership office, development and office services. Volunteers can also take training to be museum tour guides and gallery guides.

The city of Glendale needs volunteers for a new citizen’s patrol program. After a 10-hour training program, volunteers would help with vacation-house checks, report writing, parking enforcement, traffic control and neighborhood watch.
