Regarding Mike Downey’s comment of May 17 that “There could finally be a USC-USC game,” what with USC’s basketball schedule including a tournament that also features South Carolina: There have already been three USC-USC games. Southern Cal won in football, 23-13, at the Coliseum in 1980; South Carolina won at home in football, 38-14, in 1983 and in 1978 in basketball, 65-58. So, USC is 1-2, or 2-1, against USC.
