Fund-Raisers to Mark Clinic Anniversary

If you can imagine how wrenching it is to be in a legal jam or to be ill without money to seek help, then you might want to help the Conejo Free Clinic celebrate its 20th anniversary.

The Thousand Oaks clinic, founded in 1976, does what it can to provide for those who might not otherwise have access to either.

On June 8, the clinic is scheduled to host an auction, raffle, dinner, music and dance to raise money so it can continue to provide medical and legal services.

Tickets are $65. A silent auction begins at 6 p.m., with a buffet dinner at 7 p.m. Two longtime volunteers, Dr. Michael Dunn and Marvin Semak, will be acknowledged with a special dedication after dinner.

Auction items include round-trip airline tickets on America West Airlines and autographed film posters.
