Woman Arrested in 3 Armed Robberies
Oxnard police teamed up with Port Hueneme investigators Tuesday to arrest a woman suspected of robbing three local businesses at gunpoint within the past week, authorities said.
Police arrested Gina Amaro, 28, of Oxnard, on suspicion of robbing a USA gas station in Port Hueneme on April 2, a Dairy Queen in Oxnard on Saturday and a Dollar Store in Oxnard on Monday, officials said.
Investigators showed Amaro’s photo to witnesses, who identified her as the gunwoman, authorities said.
On Tuesday, Port Hueneme police staked out a relative’s house in the 500 block of Hill Street in Oxnard. They arrested Amaro and took her into custody on suspicion of armed robbery.
Amaro also is suspected in a January robbery of the same USA gas station, police said.
