Before Los Alamitos batted in the 10th inning of a Canyon tournament game against Norco on Saturday, Griffin players were kidding each other about wanting the game to be over. “OK, I’ll just hit a homer,” Tredway said, joking. Trailing 2-1 with a runner placed at second by the tiebreaker, Tredway stepped up and hit one. “She’s just a really intense player,” Coach Jami Shannon said. “She comes through in the clutch.” Tredway also drove in four runs in 9-1 victory over Long Beach Wilson.

* Foothill, senior. Hit a three-run home run and pitched a four-hitter in the Knights’ 5-1 victory over Fountain Valley.

* Laguna Hills, junior. Cleared a county-leading 5-10 in the high jump to win the event at the Trabuco Hills Invitational.
