A Friend of Hillary’s: Singer Sheryl Crow is accompanying First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton on an official visit to Bosnia and other European stops, beginning this weekend. Crow, last year’s big Grammy winner, will perform acoustic sets for U.S. peacekeeping troops Sunday and Monday at remote sites in the Bosnian city of Tuzla. She and Clinton will then travel to Aviano, Italy, and Baumholder, Germany, where many U.S. and NATO troops are permanently stationed. Crow was in the middle of recording the follow-up to her multi-platinum album “Tuesday Night Music Club” when she received the first lady’s call last week. “My first response was without hesitation, ‘I’d be honored to go,’ ” the singer said. “It’s a chance of a lifetime to do something special for a group of people who are risking their lives for peace.” Crow and her band visited with the first family while on tour last year.
