. . . A public opinion survey found that Orange County residents thought highly of UC Irvine and believed it to be as well known as UCLA and better known than USC.
“This level of interest speaks well for the university,” pollster Dave Ross said. “I attribute the interest . . . to the kinds of things the university is doing.”
