Men’s, Women’s Tournaments to Be Played in Indian Wells

The State Farm Evert Cup women’s tournament and the Newsweek Champions Cup men’s event, under a new format, will be played concurrently at the Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells, beginning today with a week-long men’s challenger qualifying tournament.
Qualifying for the Evert Cup begins Wednesday, with the main draw first round beginning on Friday. An additional qualifying tournament for the Champions Cup will be held at the La Quinta Resort next Saturday and Sunday, with the main draw to begin the following Monday at the Hyatt Grand Champions.
