COOL CAT

According to Steve Hochman, Pat Boone has an unofficial advisor explaining “what songs are or are not heavy metal” (Pop Eye, Feb. 16). I recall laughing 30 years ago when I heard Boone repeat Joe Turner’s classic line from “Shake, Rattle & Roll”: “I’m like a one-eyed cat peepin’ in a seafood store.”

I wonder if anyone has ever explained that line to Boone.
