Incomplete Track Repairs Wipe Out Relays at CSUN

The Northridge-Alemany Relays, scheduled for next Saturday, have been canceled because refinishing work on the track-and-field facility at Cal State Northridge will not be completed in time.
The new 400-meter all-weather track at Northridge is ready for competition, but the long/triple jump runways and the shotput, discus and hammer rings are not.
“We figure we’ve got about eight to 10 days’ worth of work left,” Northridge Coach Don Strametz said Friday.
The facility should be completed in time for the Northridge Invitational, a college and open meet March 23.
