Montclair Prep Mounts Title Drive
Anwawn Jones and Akil Anderson led Montclair Prep of Van Nuys to a Southern Section boys’ basketball championship on Friday night. The Mounties are one of numerous Valley teams that will compete for high school titles this weekend all over the Southland. At the Bren Center in Irvine, Jones scored 26 points, and Anderson, left, driving to the basket around Eric Buchanan, scored 18 points as Montclair Prep won the Division V-AA title with a 78-64 victory over Cate.
