Obituaries : Mary Ann Heard; Retired State Worker

Mary Ann Heard, who enjoyed the movies, theater and her family, died Thursday in an Oxnard hospital following a brief illness. She was 68.
Born in Los Angeles, she lived in Hemet and Sacramento before moving to Oxnard 12 years ago. She worked for the state of California for 15 years as a word processor before retiring in 1994.
She is survived by her son, John Heard of Oxnard, and daughters Julie Barron and Pamela Holcomb of Oxnard and Allyson Gray of Buena Vista, Va.
Friends may call Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be Tuesday at the San Jacinto Valley Cemetery in Hemet.
