Volunteers : Helping hands : Library Celebrates 90th Anniversary
A nonprofit organization aimed at raising money for the city’s library system will present a gala affair tonight to celebrate the public library’s 90th anniversary.
The Fullerton Public Library Foundation will sponsor the dinner dance and silent auction, which is sold out. But, tickets for a chance to win airline tickets, handmade quilts and dolls and vacations are still available.
The money raised from the event will be used to acquire land for a future library in northeast Fullerton, enlarging the Fullerton Public Library’s children’s section and expanding its electronic information system.
The gala will take place at Wilshire Court, 140 W. Wilshire Ave., at 6:30 p.m. For more information or to purchase raffle tickets, call (714) 738-6388.
