Delta to Add 665 Jobs: In a switch for a company that has cut 11,000 jobs in two years, Delta Air Lines Inc. said it will add customer service jobs by summer. It said 485 of the full-time jobs will be in Atlanta, where it is based. Most will be filled by employees who had been relegated to part-time status. The nation’s third-largest carrier also said it will purchase an unspecified amount of ground-handling equipment and add managers to oversee its baggage-handling operations. Delta said some of the jobs will be in baggage and cargo handling, aircraft fueling, ticket counter and gate service, and administrative support.
