Steve Horn
Re “Democrats Attack Horn as a Replica of Gingrich,†Jan. 22: Rep. Steve Horn (R-Long Beach) a clone? His critics obviously do not know him.
As a student (I didn’t like his decisions) and in two years as Long Beach State’s alumni president (“It is called California State University, Long Beach,†Horn would remind me), I learned one thing about Horn: He certainly danced to his own tune.
To challenge Horn’s views required a very logical presentation supported by fact, not emotion. Yes, he did change his opinion. He supported unpopular internal political situations and unpopular presidents within the CSU system and it cost him his job at the state’s largest campus.
Now he’s a clone of Newt? He wouldn’t allow himself to become a clone of anyone.
