Woodbridge Advances at Sacramento Tournament

Carly Moss scored a season-high 21 points, including three three-pointer baskets, to help Woodbridge defeat Fairfield, 70-64, in the Sacramento Shootout girls’ basketball tournament Friday night.
Woodbridge (15-2) will play Nevada Union today.
Fairfield (14-2), ranked second in the state in Division I, got within 63-60, but Erin Stovall made two free throws and Melanie Pearson completed a three-point play to seal the victory. Stovall scored 17 points and Pearson added 16.
In the Academy League:
Connelly 49, Fairmont 37--Jennifer Samson scored 21 points for visiting Connelly (5-9, 3-1).
In the Garden Grove League:
Pacifica 68, La Quinta 32--Heather Green scored 13 of her 24 points in the first quarter for host Pacifica (12-5, 6-0).
Santiago 61, Rancho Alamitos 48--Angie Ching-Sam had 24 points and 11 rebounds and Stacey Trujillo had 20 points for host Santiago (7-12, 3-3).
