Police Gang Sweep Nets 13 Arrests
Officers arrested 13 people early Thursday during a sweep targeting street gang members who investigators believe responsible for three recent shootings.
Authorities said about 80 officers from the Anaheim Police Department, the county Probation Department, the district attorney’s office and the state parole division searched 21 residences in Anaheim, Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Orange.
The 13 people, whose names were not released, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and narcotic and probation violations.
