$3,800 Earmarked for City Staff Forum

The City Council has agreed to spend $3,800 for a team-building workshop Jan. 29-30 for city management staff.
The council, at its meeting Tuesday, unanimously approved the contract without discussion. The item was on the council’s consent calendar, which is a listing of usually noncontroversial, routine measures such as minutes from the previous meeting.
The workshop contract goes to a professional firm, Alatorre Consulting. In a memo to the council members, City Manager Daniel E. Keen said, “Approximately $3,000 of the cost would be paid to Alatorre Consulting; the remaining costs are for conference room rental and meals during the two-day workshop.”
Keen’s memo said the workshop would be at the Garden Grove Community Center. He said Garden Grove gave La Palma “a discounted rate for the conference room rental.”
