Diaper Price Hike Canceled: Procter & Gamble Co. said it is canceling an estimated 7% to 8% price increase for disposable diapers that had been scheduled for February because competitors haven’t followed suit. The Cincinnati-based maker of Pampers and Luvs said in November that it would raise diaper prices because of higher raw-material costs. The company said it is withdrawing the increase, in part because competitor Kimberly-Clark Corp., the maker of Huggies, hasn’t increased its prices in response.
